The Mission of HUB Sneakers

Don't be afraid to surprise and connect with your audience. HUB's ethos has always been to connect people. Ever since we designed our first sneaker, we've tried to bring together elements that don't immediately stand out. Things that surprise and inspire. Merging contrasts gives our products and stories a sense of life.

HUB Sneakers & Sustainability

Our goal is to make our sneakers even more sustainable. HUB helps enormously with this. We continue to challenge ourselves and work hard to ensure that our sneakers remain sustainable in the future. We do this with Partners such as HUB who are also involved in this on a daily basis. For example, all packaging material is recycled up to 90% and the fabrics of these sneakers are also made from recycled materials.

The HUB Sneakers Logo

It is important to recognize that the original Z-stitch logo was applied to the sneakers to reinforce the connection between the two patterns, but it soon evolved into the HUB logo.

In 2020, the Z-stitch on the side of HUB sneakers has been revived. From a small stitch to a signature logo, the new logo is placed on the side as well as on the bottom of the shoe. But the new logo still functions as a connecting piece, so the logo is placed on both sides of the shoe.

The logo is more than just a logo. You can also use the logo as a metaphor for a hub, a place where people come into contact with each other.

The history of HUB Sneakers

When it all started in 2004, Huub van Boeckel took fate into his own hands and used his old tennis shoes as inspiration for a sneaker line. To create a sneaker line as a way to achieve his dream of independence and choose your own destiny. He wanted to see and feel the comfort he knew from his tennis shoes in a sneaker he wanted to wear himself.

The result is a high-quality sneaker that meets the requirements of a tennis shoe, while maintaining the comfort of a sneaker.


There's no better place to start than Wimbledon

His tennis career has allowed him to visit some of the most beautiful and strangest places on earth. He had the privilege of playing tennis on the legendary tennis courts from Wimbledon to the US Open tennis courts. In addition to many other jobs in between, he met people from all over the world and discovered that life is just a lot more fun when you open up to each other.

As a result, he decided to name his brand HUB in homage to the places where he came in contact with these people and lifestyles and the places where he connected with them.
